Police search for armed student after incident at Los Angeles High College

The Los Angeles High College campus was closed this Wednesday morning due to the activity of Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers who were searching for three students, one of them allegedly armed with a gun.

LAPD officers responded at approximately 8:15 a.m. to the 1100 block of West Boulevard, near West Olympic Boulevard, in Mid-Wilshireafter receiving reports of an assault with a deadly weapon in which four teenagers were involved.

The LAPD confirmed that The high school suspended its activities due to the response of the officers, with the closure of South Rimpau Boulevard, from the intersection with Edgewood Keep.

Apparently a student may have used the gun to threaten another person during a road rage incident in the vicinity of the school campus.

One of the young people involved in the incident was arrested by officersbut an LAPD spokesperson assured that the operation to find the three remaining teenagers and the firearm is ongoing.

The officers They established a perimeter around the Los Angeles High College campus while the three students were located.

LAUSD reports incident

“Today, the school activated the confinement protocol after receiving reports of the possible presence of a weapon on campus,” said a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD).

“We took immediate measures, including notification to the Los Angeles School Police Department and to the Western Region Operations Division for further investigation,” the school district added.

According to the LAUSD, school police and LAPD officers High school campus searched for weapons.
