Ariana Grande shook the music industry again. After weeks of mysterious clues and theories among her followers, the artist officially confirmed the launch of her 8th studio albumtitled ““Petal”.

As announced through his social networks, The album will be available on all platforms the next July 31 under the Republic Recordsdata label.

The news comes accompanied by a minimalist aesthetic: a black and white cover where Grande shows off her hair downmoving away from her iconic ponytail.

In a statement shared with the media, the singer described this work as a work of resilience: “It is something that is full of life and that grows through the cracks of something cold, hard and challenging,” she explained, suggesting a narrative of personal growth after complex periods.

For “Petal”, Ariana joins forces again with her trusted collaboratora, the Swedish producer Ilya Salmanzadeh (ILYA)who was already a key player in the hits of “Sweetener” and his previous album, “Eternal Sunshine” (2024). Together they have co-written and executive produced the project, which is rumored to feature a total of 12 songs.

The premiere of “Petal” coincides with their long-awaited “Eternal Sunshine Tour”which kicks off June 6 in Oakland, California. However, fans’ excitement is mixed with uncertainty, as the artist has hinted that this could be her “last big performance” for a long time.

“The last 10 or 15 years will look very different than those to come,” he recently declared.

Ariana, who has spent much of the last few years focused on the film adaptation of “Flawed,” appears ready to prioritize her acting career following this release, making “Petal” a possibly definitive chapter in her pop story.
