Hakeem Jeffries, Democratic minority leader in the House of Representatives, warned that members of his party will push to achieve the dismissals of Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense; and Kash Patel, director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Because he considers both of them unfit to be part of the presidential cabinet.

During an interview with the television channel MS NOWthe New York representative reiterated his commitment to fight so that the designated officials are replaced by people with greater capacity.

We’ll make sure Pete Hegseth and Kash Patel leave as well. These are people who should never have been confirmed by Senate Republicans. “It is a shame that they have put these unqualified people in positions of such importance and sensitivity,” he said.

Regarding the head of the Pentagon, although his appointment has not ceased to cause controversy because it links him more to his role as a former television presenter, his position taken against the war that the United States is waging against Iran, but above all his extreme statements generate greater unpopularity.

In fact, when he was confirmed in January, his margin of support was narrow, with even Republican Senators Susan Collins, Mitch McConnell and Lisa Murkowski joining Democrats in refusing to back his nomination.

Despite this, negative accusations arose around him linked to alleged excessive alcohol consumption, which he has repeatedly denied.

As for Kash Patel, an article recently appeared in the magazine Atlanticwhere he mentions the excessive consumption of alcohol that he has incurred to the point of becoming untraceable after a few nights of drinking.

“He should not be director of the FBI; he should seek help and treatment. The reality is that the uncontrolled incompetence and corruption of this cabinet has made it the worst since 1776, and Kash Patel is next,” said Ted Lieu, representative of California, during a conversation with the network Fox News.

It should be noted that, in March, President Donald Trump announced the dismissal of Kristi Noem as head of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and a month later Pam Bondi suffered the same fate when she was removed as full prosecutor.
