What began as a routine review of social networks ended up becoming million-dollar news for a woman who discovered that she had won one of the lottery’s most important prizes.

This is a resident of Loganholme, Queensland, Australiawho found out she was a millionaire after seeing a Facebook post from the store where she had bought her lottery ticket.

The woman, who decided to remain anonymous, and her partner owned one of the four winning tickets in the draw. Gold Lotto number 4683held last Saturday, June 6, whose first-class prize amounted to $1.13 million US dollars for each winner.

A post on social media revealed the award

According to the winner, the establishment’s publication caught her attention because it reported that a first-class winning ticket had been sold during the weekend.

That message was enough for me to remember that I had participated in the draw.

“I checked the ticket immediately and it was a big surprise. We’re still trying to take it all in,” The woman explained after confirming that she was one of the lucky winners.

The situation was even more unusual because the ticket was not registered in the lottery system, so the organizers had no way to contact the owners directly to inform them about the prize.

Buying a house, among the main plans

The couple purchased the winning ticket at a IGA supermarket of Loganholmea town near Brisbane. After hearing the news, the winner announced that the money will allow her to meet some important family goals.

Among her priorities is the purchase of her own home and the creation of a fund to ensure the future of her children.

“There are so many things we would like to do. We plan to buy our own house and save for our children’s future,” he said.

Another winner thought he had only won a smaller prize

The surprise was not unique to the Queensland family. One of the other winners, a resident of Baxteron Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, initially believed he had won just $1,100 US.

When he received a call from the lottery, he was confused because he did not know that he was also part of the group of jackpot winners.

“He won more than I thought!” he acknowledged when he found out that he would receive more than 1.6 million Australian dollars, that is, 1.13 US dollars.

The man assured that the money will benefit several people around him and that, before making important decisions, he needs time to process the news.

The store celebrates its first big winner

The establishment where one of the winning tickets was sold also celebrated the event.
Darrell Dhnaram, store owner Loganholme IGAexplained that it is the first first-class winning ticket sold since the business opened.

The merchant highlighted that it is exciting for the entire team to know that one of their clients won a prize capable of transforming his life and that of his family.

The victory is part of a draw that left four first division winners and shows how a simple Facebook review ended up becoming the beginning of a new financial stage for an Australian family.
