The 10-year-old twins who were shot to death allegedly by their father were Hispanic this Sunday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

Joseph and Greysen Chávez were identified by the LAPD like the two children who died along with their father in an apparent murder-suicide that reportedly occurred during a family gathering at an apartment in the Canoga Park district.

Los Angeles police The identity of the 37-year-old father was not immediately released.which is being kept under wraps while waiting to notify his next of kin.

On June 7, LAPD officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 8000 block of Owensmouth Avenue.

At the scene, the authorities entered the apartment where the family lived and they found the bodies of the two children and their father in a room.

According to the LAPD, The incident remains under investigation as a suspected murder-suicide. and the twins’ father is believed to be responsible. A gun was recovered at the scene of the shooting.

Neighbors of the apartment complex where the shooting occurred mentioned that The incident may have occurred during what they described as a family meetingwhich some of them said could have been a birthday party.

Residents living nearby noticed that something was wrong when they observed LAPD officers canvassing the area and when they went to their homes to ask if they had seen or heard anything out of the ordinary.

“Even though we can’t see his family, we thought they needed prayers and reflection because… I don’t know. Personally, Regardless of whether I know them or not, I would pray for someone, for their healing and for their normal well-being.because it is sad and I don’t wish it on anyone,” said neighbor Avy Pérez.
