Amaury Vergaraowner of Chivas del Guadalajara, assured that Mexico and South Korea are the teams that must advance to the next phase within the activity of group A of the World Cup 2026, at the official welcome ceremony for the South Korean team at the Verde Valle facilities.
Vergara met at the facilities of the Guadalajara team, where the Asian team held its first training session for the debut against Czechia next Thursday, June 11 at the Guadalajara stadium (Akron), where they will try to add their first victory of the competition.

Thank you very much and welcome,” said the businessman from Guadalajara from the side of the field where the South Koreans trained.
The owner of the Sacred Flock highlighted that the presence of the World Cup teams, their training and The games that will be played at the Guadalajara stadium (Akron) is a reflection of the effort that was done to fine-tune these facilities within FIFA’s charge sheet.
“Their matches in Guadalajara will be played in one of the best stadiums in the world. The Guadalajara Stadium was built more than 15 years ago with the dream of hosting a World Cup. And very soon, that dream will come true with national teams and world-class players, like you.
Vergara placed special emphasis on the entire accumulation of works that were carried out both in the surroundings of Chivas and in the city of Guadalajara, where the authorities made an effort to improve the entire infrastructure of the capital, its primary roads, the air terminal and the transportation system.
The Guadalajara stadium will be active with four World Cup matcheslike South Korea vs. Czechia, Mexico vs. South Korea on June 18, Colombia against Congo on June 23 and Uruguay vs. Spain on June 26.
