Karen Bass took a Early lead in Los Angeles mayoral primaryaccording to the first partial results of the electoral process this Tuesday, June 2.
Bass, who is seeking re-election for a second term, was in front of the vote with 36.5%according to data released by “Los Angeles Times” a few minutes after the voting centers in the city closed.
The surprise was with the reality star, Spencer Pratt, placing second in the race, with 30.1%ahead of councilor Nithya Raman, who had 20.2%.

Adam Miller was in fourth place in the primary elections for the mayor of Los Angeles, with a distant 4%.
According to preliminary results published by ABC, Bass was in front, with 133,964 votes (37%), by 109,847 votes determined by Pratt (30%). Raman was in the third place, with 74,400 votes at his discretion (20%).
In the latest polls prior to election day, Raman was in second place, with a slight disadvantage over Basswhich made her profile to appear on the ballots for the November general elections.

Bass shored up his re-election campaign highlighting their achievements in combating the homeless crisisbuilding 42,000 new affordable homes, attacking crime rates and bolstering support for film and television productions in Los Angeles.
In the Los Angeles mayoral primary, voters had 14 candidatesincluding Pratt and Raman, to prevent Karen Bass from being re-elected to office by criticizing her for her response to the January 2025 wildfires, homelessness, and ICE raids.
Of the 10 Los Angeles mayors who have sought a second term since the office was expanded to four years in 1925, only two have been denied re-election: John C. Porter, in 1929, and James Hahn, in 2005.

The percentage of the votes is expected to change as the ballot counting progresses. over the course of the next few hours, or even days. If the percentage favors Bass and can exceed 50%, he would win the election in the primaries.
The royal mayor was confident of receiving the support of Los Angeles voterswhich was considered certain that its name would appear on the general ballots on November 3.
