In a revealing and raw interview for the podcast Trying No Longer to Diehosted by Jack Osbourne, Paris Jackson spoke openly about impact that substance use had on their mental health and in his behavior during his darkest years.
The 28-year-old artist admitted that addictions came to compromise his “dazzling compass” with behaviors that are difficult to recognize today.
“It’s really disgusting behavior from a dazzling point of viewbecause I was raised to be kind,” the singer confessed. Jackson explained that, although she holds firm to her principles when she is sober, the effects of drugs and alcohol erased that structure.
“When I drink, that goes away. It goes away and I become a very vengeful person,” he added.
The composer, who already accumulates six years of sobriety after seeking medical treatment For the first time at the age of 17, he clarified that his mental health problems began long before his addictions.
During his childhood, faced difficulties related to self-harm and eating disordersmanifesting from an early age a constant desire to fill emotional voids with external factors.
Through her reflections, the daughter of the “King of Pop” recognized that the path to recovery has not been perfect and that life can become extremely complex without the old survival mechanisms.
Currently, in addition to dealing with diagnoses such as major depression and post-traumatic stress, Jackson continues to focus on her well-being, alternating her non-public process with her musical side. and its presence in the entertainment industry and audiovisual productions.
