Next July 4, the United States will celebrate its 250th anniversary and to join the festivities, Doritos recently announced the launch of a new contest called “Have the Intrepid” or “Build the Bold” in which Participants must use all their creativity to recreate famous and important monuments of the country nothing more and nothing less than using the classic French fries.
According to the statement on its website, the brand belonging to Frito-Lay, an entire subsidiary of PepsiCo, indicated that the winners of this contest that will run until July 31 They will be able to win a jackpot of up to $250,000 and other weekly gifts.
Contestants will be able to choose from a list of places, emblematic monuments and natural wonders of the country to build its structures, among which are the Brooklyn Bridge, the Washington Monument, the Statue of Liberty, the Hoover Dam, Niagara Falls, Yellowstone National Park, among others.
Then participants must send a video in which they explain why they chose that structure and how they developed it. They will have the opportunity to present up to three constructions during the competition.
Competitors may not use any artificial intelligence tools for their presentations, nor external brands, visible tattoos or copyrighted music in their demonstration video.
The jury will rate the presentation of the video, the precision of the structures and the creativity of the participants; for 50% of the grade, the visible impact of the construction and use of the chips will be taken into account. The grand prize will be announced in mid-August this year.
The brand also reported that During the contest time, weekly gifts will be drawn such as an “Intrepid at Dwelling Package” which includes $200 in a Mastercard gift card, a Doritos-branded cooler, a speaker, and a beach towel to enjoy this summer.
