The Government of Mexico, through the Institute to Return Looted to the People (INDEP), will put up for auction a property located in the exclusive Tapalpa Nation Club subdivision, in Jalisco, an area where he was shot down last February. Nemesio Oseguera Cervantesalias “El Mencho”leader of Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
The sale is part of a package of 211 properties that will be offered by the federal agency, according to media such as El Standard.
According to information from INDEP, the property corresponds to a rustic land located in the residential development of Tapalpa. In that place, On February 22, federal forces located and confronted the capowho died during the military operation.
The property will be auctioned through the sealed bid scheme on May 28. The horrifying asking price was set at around $744,000.
According to official reports, the property is located within a wooded area of high capital gains and is part of a tourist-residential complex frequented by national visitors.
Federal investigations indicated that “El Mencho” used the cabin as a temporary shelter and that he was located thanks to the monitoring of people close to his inner circle most.
Although the authorities have not formally attributed the property to the former criminal leader, the land is located exactly in the area where the operation that ended his career at the head of the CJNG occurred.
After his death, road blockades and violent acts were recorded in different regions of the country attributed to the reaction of the criminal organization.
The auction is part of the government strategy to market assets confiscated or transferred by different federal agencies and allocate the resources obtained to public programs.
