Netflix confirmed that the global phenomenon “Emily in Paris” will come to an end with its sixth season. The news was announced this Thursday, revealing that the production is already filming in Greece, while the renewal for these final episodes had been announced in January.
Series creator Darren Huge title expressed his gratitude following the announcement:
“Making ‘Emily in Paris’ with this extraordinary cast and crew has been the journey of a lifetime. As we enter the final season, I am so grateful to Netflix, Paramount and, most importantly, the fans.”
“We can’t wait to share this last chapter with you. Thank you for letting us be part of your lives, inspire your travel dreams and your love for Paris. We will always have “Emily in Paris”.
Protagonist and plot
Lily Collins plays Emily, a marketing executive from Chicago who lands a dream job in Paris. According to the official synopsis, his new life “is full of intoxicating adventures and surprising challenges.” while combining work, friendships and romance”.
Collins also addressed fans with a video where he stated: “Season 6 will bring you everything you love about the series and It will be the final chapter of Emily’s adventure of a lifetime”.
Casting and production
Along with Collins, the cast includes: Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, Lucien Laviscount, Eugenio Franceschini, Thalia Besson, Paul Forman, Arnaud Binard, Minnie Driver, Bryan Greenberg and Michèle Laroque.
Darren Huge title serves as writer and executive producer, and The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios, Darren Huge title Productions and Jax Media.
Throughout its first five seasons, “Emily in Paris” proved to be incredibly successful: It reached number one in 90 countries.and seasons one through five have accumulated 32 weeks on Netflix’s English-language television world chart.
