The Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Mexico investigates the feminicide of Wendy Saray Pavón Torres32 years old, whose body was located in the trunk of an abandoned Chevrolet Chevy car after a crash in the municipality of Lerma.
The woman had a search file since last May 11, after disappearing in Mexico City.
According to authorities reports, the discovery occurred after the vehicle hit a metal pole.
Witnesses indicated that the driver got out of the car and fled before the arrival of police officers. When inspecting the unit, The authorities found the body of a woman with signs of violence in the trunk.
Investigations point to the most valuable suspect as Mario Vegaidentified as the former romantic partner of Wendy Saray and the alleged driver of the car at the time of the accident.
According to local media such as the weekly Proceso, the man would have escaped after the crash and so far no arrests have been reported.
Relatives of the victim reported her disappearance after Wendy Saray did not return home or pick up her children after attending a family meeting.
The Mexican Prosecutor’s Office maintains the investigation open and carries out security camera reviews and interviews to reconstruct the victim’s last movements and clarify the crime.
