In the midst of the great reception that the public has given to cazzu during his time in the United States with his “Latinaje” tour, The music producer AB Quintanilla returned to his social networks to talk about his collaboration with Argentina in the concert he gave in San Antonio, Texas last May 8th.
It was through his Instagram account that the brother of the deceased Selena Quintanilla responded directly to those who questioned his appearance on stage with ‘La Jefa’.
In my own voice, AB Quintanilla explained that her experience with the ‘Queen of Tex-Mex’ gave her a staunch perspective on the challenges that women face within the music scene.which is why it seems essential to show support for personalities like Cazzu.
“I was behind one of the greatest women in the industry of all time, a legend: Selena. But it is very difficult in this industry for a woman. It is ten times more difficult for a woman to conquer and be number one or have her space in the market. And I understand that and I came to support her.“He is heard saying through the video broadcast on the platform.
Furthermore, the producer highlighted his talent not only when singing, but also when producing: “Instead of hiring another producer to put together her demonstration, she did it, she had the concept”he continued. “Coming from another country and conquering another country that is so far away… that is something very difficult.”
In this sense, he confessed that beyond his artistic quality, Cazzu is “on the same frequency” as him on a personal level: “She’s super staunch. What you see is what it is,” he added.
AB Quintanilla’s words align with the gesture of affection and admiration he had with the Argentine after concluding their presentation together with the songs “Si Una Vez” and “Con Otra” at the Boeing Heart. On that occasion, The famous person placed a crown on the artist’s head in front of his followers while dedicating a moving message to her.
