The General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic (FGR) reported on the arrest of Fernando Daniel Frías de la Cruz, alias “El Cabo”, a member of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) involved in the recruitment, kidnapping and disappearance of people.

Through a statement, the agency indicated that members of the Legal Investigation Agency managed to capture him in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila.

The federal authorities consider that this arrest will allow them to strengthen lines of investigation to identify other probable people responsible for the forced recruitment of the Jalisco Cartel New Generationand in this way try to dismantle the operational structure of that criminal group.

Both the Izaguirre Ranch such as the “La Galera” property have been investigated by federal and state authorities because allegedly kidnappings and training by the CJNG.

The ranch, described by the Prosecutor’s Office as a “training camp, operated by a criminal organization,” has been investigated by federal authorities since March 2025, when they became aware of the operation of the place by the cartel.

Hundreds of items of clothing and personal objects have been located at the site, according to search groups, which could be linked to missing people and remain under forensic analysis.
