“Gringo Jomi”, the American who was a CJNG hitman and was captured in Colima

Alex “N”, alias “El Gringo Jomi”is a US citizen who was detained in Colima as part of the so-called “Operation Goya”a coordinated deployment between federal and state forces against members of organized crime.

According to reports from authorities, “El Gringo Jomi” was identified as a hitman and drug distributor for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

Furthermore, it had with an extradition order in the United Statesparticularly in California, for crimes related to drug trafficking and money laundering.

In the operation, four other members of organized crime considered priority targets in Colima were captured. Among them stands out Lorenzo “N”, alias “El Chuky”identified as a criminal boss linked to extortion, homicides and corruption in customs.

“Operation Goya is part of the strategy to reduce violence and weaken the criminal structures that operate in the entity,” says a statement.

Although the authorities did not detail the hierarchical level of “El Gringo Jomi” within the CJNG, national media such as the newspaper Milenio indicated that he operated in Colima and maintained links with drug trafficking activities on both sides of the border.
