Serious mistake by Memo Ochoa condemns AEL Limassol, which is eliminated from the Cyprus Cup

The experienced Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa was once again in the eye of the hurricane after making a serious mistake that ended up condemning the AEL Limassol in the Cyprus Cup 2026. Finally, without much to fight, Paco Memo’s team received the 3-1 in the second leg that sealed the team’s elimination with a world score of 5-2 to the preference of Pafos. On this occasion it was a one-on-one in which the Mexican could do nothing to avoid Vlad Dragomir’s shot that shook the nets.

With this result, Pafos FC secured its place in the grand final of the tournament, where it awaits a rival in the duel between APOEL FC and Apollon Limassol.

For its part, AEL Limassol said goodbye to the tournament with a series marked by specific errors that ended up being decisive.
