It’s official! The Colombian singer Shakira is in charge of interpreting the official theme of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The song is titled “Dai Dai” and is scheduled for release on May 14 on Spotify and Apple Music.
The news was confirmed through Instagram, X and TikTok with a short video in which the artist can be seen dancing to the rhythm of the song from the imposing Maracaná Stadiumin Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Clad in a striking outfit and wearing the colors of her flag, the famous woman appears with her group of dancers while a preview of the song she recites is heard: “What once broke you, made you stronger” and “Here, in this place, you belong.”
“From the Maracaná Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai’, the official song of the @fifaworldcup 2026. He arrives 14/5. We are ready! ⚽️ 🐺 @burnaboygram,” Shakira wrote to accompany the publication that unleashed the excitement of her fans and soccer lovers.

This is not the first time that Shakira is the musical protagonist of a FIFA World Cup. His participation most remembered by the public is “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)”, the official song that was chosen to represent the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Although this song became a global phenomenon remembered to this day, The Latin representative also participated in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with “La La La.”
