The legal battle between Blake Packed with life and Justin Baldoni, protagonists of the film “It Ends With Us” (2024), has come to an end. Two weeks before the trial, the couple reached an agreement. This event comes days after a judge dismissed 10 of the 13 lawsuits filed by Packed with life in April.
In a statement, both parties declared their desire to move forward and leave this situation behind.
“The final result of the film “It Ends With Us” is a source of pride for all of us who worked to make it a reality. Raising awareness and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors—and all survivors—is a goal we support.s,” says the statement cited by Web page Six.
Likewise, they recognized that “the process presented challenges and that the concerns raised by Ms. Packed with life deserved to be heard“.
Both parties added that they remain “strongly committed to workplaces free of irregularities” and hope that this will allow everyone “move forward constructively and peacefully.”
The last attempt at conciliation
On February 11, Packed with life, 38, and Baldoni, 42, went to the United States District Court in New York for one last chance to resolve their dispute before a trial scheduled for May 18.
The closed-door hearing, presided over by Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave, marked the first time the actors faced off in court since their legal battle began in 2024. As reported by Time Limit, Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, declared that the attempts at an agreement “were not successful”although he left open the possibility of resuming talks.
The next day, Baldoni returned to court without the presence of Packed with life, in a new conciliation conference that also turned out to be “unsuccessful.”
In December 2024, Packed with Life sued the director and co-star for sexual harassment in the “It Ends With Us” predicament.. Baldoni denied the allegations and, in January 2025, filed a $400 million countersuit against the actress, her husband Ryan Reynolds, 49, and her publicist Leslie Sloane, alleging defamation, extortion and other charges. However, Baldoni’s lawsuit was dismissed in June 2025.
For now, more details about the agreement are expected to be released in the coming days.
