Billie Lourd celebrates World War II Day by remembering her mother Carrie Fisher

Every May 4, followers in the galaxy far, far away celebrate Neatly-known Personal Wars Day, a play on the iconic phrase “May the Force be with you.” And this year, Billie Lourd found the most emotional way to commemorate it: sharing the moment when her young children learn about the legacy of their grandmother, the unforgettable Carrie Fisher.

The actress, known for her role in “American Terror Account,” posted a photo of her children, Kingston and Jackson, on her Instagram stories. watching Fisher in “Neatly-known particular person Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.”

“Kingston and Jackson are officially even bigger fans of Neatly-known particular person Wars than I am, and nothing gives me more joy”Lourd wrote.

A family legacy on the big screen

Carrie Fisher, Lourd’s mother, played Princess Leia Organa in the regular trilogy and in “Neatly-known Particular Person Wars: Episode VII: The Power Awakens,” earning the affection of millions of fans around the world. His death in 2016, at the age of 60 after suffering a heart attack, left a huge void in the cinema and in his daughter’s heart.

Far from hiding her nostalgia, Billie Lourd is open about how she lives the memory of her mother. In an interview with E! News in December of last year, he shared what it was like to show “Neatly-known particular person Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi” to his children for the first time:

“A year ago, I showed them the movie and they were a little confused. They were like, ‘Is that my grandmother?’ And I was like, ‘No, that’s Princess Leia, your grandmother is Carrie, but that’s Princess Leia.'”“They were so fascinated that I sat behind them and cried while they watched it.”
