A woman identified as Mikayla Kloth, 27, was charged with first-degree intentional homicide after the death of his partner, Lukas Rosch, 25, in the state of Wisconsin.
The incident occurred on April 24 in a home located in the Lac La Belle area, about 40 kilometers west of Milwaukee. According to court documents cited by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, The defendant admitted to the police that she had stabbed the victim during an argument.
Previous discussion and version of events
According to the investigation, Rosch went to the apartment with the intention of preparing food, even though Kloth had expressed that he preferred to go out to a bar.
The accused indicated that the man “began to provoke her,” which led to an argument. According to the complaint, Kloth stated that she acted out of anger and that her “anger took over.”
Authorities said the victim died from a single stab wound to the chest that hit the heart.
The agents went to the scene after an emergency call that alerted about a seriously injured person and the presence of abundant blood in the house.
Upon arrival, they found Rosch on the ground while trying to revive him. According to the report, when officers asked who attacked him, Kloth responded, “I did it.”
Judicial process in progress
Kloth was formally charged with first-degree intentional homicide, a charge that could carry life in prison. During his first court appearance, bail was set at $2 million.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 29, while the defendant remains in custody at the Waukesha County Jail.
Rosch’s family expressed their grief over the loss, describing him as a “loving and generous” person. His father expressed in court the deep emotional impact he has suffered after his son’s death.
