With more than four decades of experience and around one hundred film projects in his catalogue, the American actor George Clooney He made an unexpected confession to the media regarding his role as a professional: he prefers not to watch the movies or series in which he is a part.
According to the testimony shared by the actor during his time on the red carpet at the 51st Chaplin Prize gala, the passing of the years has led him to avoid revisiting those productions in which he participated in his youth.
The reason? The physical transformation and acting maturity that he has acquired with the passage of time, this was stated in a conversation with Other Folk magazine.
“It’s a weird thing. As you get older, it’s hard to watch movies when you were younger because you’re like, ‘God, that doesn’t even look like me now.'”he said after arriving at the Lincoln Heart in New York last Monday, April 27.

In contrast, George Clooney said he was proud of those animation projects in which he has lent his voice. Such was the case of the film “Unlikely Mr. Fox” (2009), directed by Wes Anderson and which he recently filmed in the company of his twin children, Alexander and Ella, 8 years old.
According to the Hollywood heartthrob, the astonishment of his little ones and the fun essence of the project made him appreciate the experience: “I was watching Unlikely Mr. Fox, which is a little easier because it’s not really me, it’s just my voice. It’s fun because the kids slowly discover what I do, you know?!”he questioned.
Nevertheless, Clooney acknowledged that he does not rule out the idea of gradually releasing this idea. not to be seen on the big screen.
“Look, it’s hard because I don’t like looking back, but now that I’m turning 65 in a week, looking forward is a much shorter perspective, you understand? So maybe I’ll look back later.”concluded the famous 64-year-old.

The artist’s presence during the 2026 Chaplin Prize gala was no coincidence. On the contrary, this aimed to recognize his significant contributions to the art of cinema, just as the actor who inspired said award did by becoming the first honored by the Film institution in 1972.
George Clooney attended the event arm in arm with his wife, lawyer Amal Clooney. Along with the actor, personalities from the film scene and collaborators close to the actor also appeared, such as: Stephen Colbert, Julianna Margulies, John Turturro and Sam Rockwell, among others.
