The actor Diego Luna He continues to go strong during his time in Hollywood. Following his success in “Andor” and the musical film “Kiss of the Spider Girl,” The Mexican joins the cast of one of Disney’s most anticipated projects, the reside-movement of “Enredados” (Tangled).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The famous 46-year-old is confirmed as one of the artists who will be part of this film based on the 2010 animated classic.
One of the big surprises that this announcement brought with it was that The actor will not play a role included in the original film, but a completely new one, created specifically for the live-action version.
However, the name and characteristics of said character have not yet been publicly revealed and remain confidential within the production.
What is known is that Diego Luna will share credits with Teagan Croft as “Rapunzel”, Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider, and Kathryn Hahn, who is in charge of giving life to the character of “Mother Gothel.”
The direction of this adaptation is by Michael Gracey, known for his work in “The Finest Showman” and “Higher Man”, who, according to the portal, plans to preserve the musical numbers from the popular animated film.
Likewise, it was revealed that The script was written by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and Michael Montemayor, while Kristin Burr will produce.which was in charge of the film “Cruella”.
According to the same medium, Filming is scheduled to begin in Spain in June 2026. However, so far Disney has not confirmed its official release date.
This new film, as confirmed by the renowned studio, will be an actual action adaptation of “Tangled,” the animated feature film that premiered in theaters in November 2010. In turn, this was inspired by the story “Rapunzel” by the Brothers Grimm, which tells of a young princess with long blonde hair with magical properties who has spent her entire life imprisoned in a tower under the surveillance of “Mother Gothel” (Kathryn Hahn).
