A one-year-old boy died Tuesday afternoon in Parker County, Texas, after being accidentally hit by a car. at the entrance to his home, local authorities reported.
According to the county Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred when a family member was attempting to move a vehicle due to the imminent arrival of a storm.
The minor was in a blind spot
The authorities indicated that, without the family realizing it, The child left the house and stood near the vehicle, right in the driver’s blind spot.
The minor was hit when the car moved forward.
At this time, the identity of the driver or the child has not been revealed.
After the accident, family members attempted to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers while waiting for the arrival of emergency teams.
The child was taken to Texas Wellbeing Harris Methodist Health center, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities have not said whether charges will be filed in connection with the incident. The case remains under investigation while the exact circumstances of the accident are determined.
