Good news for followers of “The Princess Diaries”. While Anne Hathaway He returned to his role as Andy Sachs in “The Devil Wears Prada,” is preparing to play another iconic role: that of Mia Thermopolisnow queen of Genovia.

“We just want to get the story right because it is a franchise that is very loved by so many people,” Lim told Sort. The director pointed out that many of the followers of the long-established 2001 film are now mothersincluding herself, and that that experience influenced the narrative approach.
“There are many films that are a dream come true for princesses, but we don’t have many films that fulfill the dreams of queens. That’s what we intend to do here: show a woman in all her splendor,” he explained.
According to Lim, although the filming and production schedule is still being finalized, Fans can expect Hathaway’s return and also “many surprises” as for the rest of the cast reprising their roles. The story will take place in the fictional kingdom of Genovia, and the team plans to film in Europe to show the country “in all its splendor.”
