In an unprecedented event, the White House will be left without a press secretary until further notice, because Karoline Leavitt is about to give birth to her second daughter.
The Republican from Unique Hampshire took advantage of her rapprochement with media representatives and this Friday she temporarily said goodbye, noting that her baby will be born next week.
“As you can see, I’m about to give birth, so we’ll see you very soon. I know you will be in very good hands with my team here at the White House.“And I know that you all have the president’s personal phone number, so I have no doubt that there will be a shortage of statements and news from this building while he is away,” he said.
At 28 years old, Leavitt is the youngest White House press secretary in history and also the first to be pregnant while performing that task.

Since December, she and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, announced that they would be parents again, since their first-born, Niko, was born in July 2024.
“2026 is going to be a great year and I am very excited to be the mother of a girl!” wrote the conservative blonde on her Instagram account before Christmas.
Because she did not stay away from her job during her pregnancy, she has up to 12 weeks off to enjoy motherhood. However, it is unknown if he will take advantage of the entire period of disability to which federal employees, including those in the executive branch, are entitled.
During the time in which you are away from your duties, The White House will use a rotating group of administration officials who will be in charge of reporting on events on President Donald Trump’s agenda.since it is not contemplated to hire another person to temporarily cover the absence of Karoline Leavitt.
In fact, there is a possibility that Vice President James David Vance, Marco Rubio, Secretary of State, may appear in the press room; and even the head of the nation Donald Trump himself.
