Univision is having an excellent start to the year. The network’s programs have placed it in a preferential area in the public’s taste. In the case of the program “Siéntese qué puede”, Its audience propelled the television station to become the first ranking network in the 1 pm to 3 pm among US Hispanics across all key demographic groups.
Through a press release, Univision reaffirmed that, since the program expanded to its new two-hour format on March 30, the camouflage show surpassed “En casa con Telemundo” by +9% in total viewers, +9% in adults 18–49 and +18% in adults 18–34. Compared to English-language television, “Siéntese donde puede” beat ABC’s “The Discover about” among U.S. Hispanics with massive triple-digit leads, including +405% in Adults 18–49 and +567% in Adults 18–34.
The show has also seen significant year-over-year momentum, with audience growth of +20% in total viewers, +12% in adults 18–49 and +38% in adults 18–34, compared to the same period last year.
Recognize the competition…
Talking with Jorge Bernal and Chiquibaby, They recognize that the reason for their success is largely due to the work carried out by the team of journalists who work twice as hard to provide the informative content that can be sustained in a two-hour program.
They also recognize the value of exclusives and controversial arguments that can be discussed within the panel.
It is worth recognizing that, in addition, the format of the program is also different and that both hosts feel in complete harmony to address topics with names and surnames that include the competition. Both Chiqui and Jorge have talked about the program with which they compete in the time slot, which is “En Casa con Telemundo”, and they admit that they can do it because their producer and the network itself allow them to and that they currently hope that these barriers of pretending that competition does not exist may soon become obsolete.
