Democrat Ted Lieu joined the voices of other of his colleagues who consider it inappropriate to allow Kash Patel to continue being director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and even anticipates his possible dismissal.
An article recently appeared in the magazine Atlanticwhich mentions the excessive consumption of alcohol that Kash Patel has incurred to the point of becoming untraceable after a few nights of drinking.
On the other hand, the real estate official pointed out in an interview with the network Fox Info that had filed a lawsuit against the news outlet, demanding $250 million in damages caused to its reputation.
However, a press conference held at the Capitol, Ted Lieu recommended that Patel see a specialist to help him overcome his weakness for liquor.
“He should not be director of the FBI; he should seek help and treatment,” he said.
Immediately afterwards, he said he was convinced that the 56-year-old New York official will soon be dismissed, as he is part of the worst cabinet elected since American independence.
“The reality is that the uncontrolled incompetence and corruption of this cabinet has made it the worst since 1776and Kash Patel is next,” he said.
A day before, in a dialogue established with the political content producer MeidasTouch, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, representative of New York, highlighted the alleged inappropriate behavior exhibited by the FBI director at a public event.
“I think we saw, you know, after the men’s Olympic hockey championship, the fact that this guy is throwing bottles in the air; not only is it embarrassing, but he is an easily manipulated person. If he behaves in this compromising way in public, especially in a position in the FBI, when he acts irrationally, he is creating opportunities for blackmail and obtaining compromising information about anyone defamed,” he emphasized.
It should be noted that, in March, President Donald Trump announced the dismissal of Kristi Noem as head of the Department of Homeland Security, and a month later Pam Bondi suffered the same fate when she was dismissed as a fashionable prosecutor.
Faced with this panoramapressure on Kash Patel increases especially if you take into account the allegations of allegedly having used a State plane to attend his girlfriend’s events and even to travel with friends to Europe.
