Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bassgave the order to increase the number of police patrols in certain areas of the San Fernando Valley after residential burglaries occurred, increasing the concern of residents and business owners.
Bass’ instruction is in response to the series of robberies, such as the one that happened at the Cara Vana coffee shop in North Hollywood, which was the third in the last five months, as well as other incidents of burglaries committed in houses in various neighborhoods of the San Fernando Valley.
“The safety of all Angelenos is my top priority. The city has zero tolerance for these recent robberies,” Bass stated in a news release.
