The president donald trump once again put on the table one of the most enigmatic topics on the public agenda: unidentified flying objects. During an event in Phoenix organized by Turning Level USA, the president assured that his administration is disclose “very, very interesting” documents related to unidentified aerial phenomena.

“This process is very advanced… We have found many very interesting documentsand the first publications will begin very, very soon,” Trump said before supporters, in statements reported by the press.

The announcement dates back to February, when Trump instructed the Department of Defense—led by Pete Hegseth—to review classified files linked to possible sightings and historical reports. Although the president has not affirmed that these phenomena have extraterrestrial origins, he has promoted the narrative of transparency around an issue that for decades has been surrounded by secrecy.

The pressure isn’t just coming from the White House. In Congress, Lawmakers from both parties have demanded greater clarity. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna even formally requested the publication of dozens of videos related to these phenomena, warning of possible implications for national security. “The continued lack of transparency… is concerning,” he wrote in an official letter.

For his part, the congressman Tim Burchett supported the president’s statementscelebrating what it considers progress toward government accountability on sensitive issues.

However, official reports remain cautious. A Pentagon report published in 2024 concluded that There is no credible evidence to support the existence of extraterrestrial life. According to that document, the majority of recorded sightings correspond to erroneous interpretations of conventional objects or natural phenomena.

Even the former president Barack Obamawho at the time fueled the debate by mentioning the possibility of life outside Earth in a podcast, later clarified that nHe never had concrete evidence during his mandate.

Still, public interest does not diminish. The possible declassification of these files could revive theories, scientific debates and questions about aviation safety.

For now, all eyes are on the Pentagon and what could be one of the most anticipated—and controversial—revelations in recent years.
