The president donald trump He told the US network ABC that he is not considering an extension of the ceasefire between his country and Iran, which is on the eighth day of a fragile two-week truce.
“President Trump told me today that is not thinking about extending the ceasefire. “He doesn’t think it’s necessary,” Jonathan Karl, ABC’s chief Washington correspondent, wrote in his X account about the truce, agreed on April 7.
“I think you are going to see two incredible days. I really do.”said the president, quoted by Karl.
The journalist then asked if the war, which began on February 28 after the joint attack by the United States and Israel against Iran, will end with an agreement, after the failed negotiations last weekend in Islamabad.
“I think an agreement is preferable because then they can rebuild. They have a different regime now. “No matter what happens, we have annihilated the radicals,” the president responded.
