The Mexican cyclist Isaac del Toro began his participation in the Itzulia 2026 after finishing in the position 13 in the Stage 1 of the Tour of the Basque Countrya personal time trial held in Bilbao.
As leader of UAE Crew Emiratesthe young talent will now aim rebound in the traditional classification in the following days.

On a tour of 13.9 kilometers, Isaac del Toro recorded a time of 18:00 minutesremaining at 51 seconds from first place in a stage that brought together 154 competitors.
The Mexican started among the last cyclists with number 31, on a day that marked the first differences in the competition.

Results of Stage 1 in Itzulia 2026
The victory in the time trial went to the Frenchman Paul Seixasfollowed by Kevin Vauquelin and the Austrian Felix Großschartnerwho is also part of the UAE Crew Emirates.
The specialists took advantage of the profile of the stage to place themselves at the top of the traditional classification.

The Tour of the Basque Country 2026 is just beginning and presents a highly demanding route with 6 stages, 29 scoring ports and more than 16,000 meters of accumulated unevenness.
