Faced with the dizzying increase in gasoline prices that has been weighing on the pockets of Americans in recent weeks, the Southern-themed restaurant and gift shop chain Cracker Barrel recently announced a giveaway called “Gas Your Summer season Facet freeway Jog back and forth” with which it aims to help traveling clients this summer.

In this regard, Cracker Barrel’s marketing director, Sarah Moore, commented that “road trips are synonymous with summer and our goal is to help our customers take the trip, get to know the country and create new memories,” she said.

The company hopes to distribute up to $250,000 between food and gasoline, in a drawing that will begin this Tuesday, May 19 and will end on July 26, and in which Cracker Barrel Rewards members can participate.

The restaurant hopes to give out $1,000 to about 250 Cracker Barrel Rewards members—i.e. a $500 gas gift card and a $500 Cracker Barrel gift card; According to the company, there are expected to be 25 new winners each week.

Members will be able to participate in their purchases of main dishes that qualify for the draw, whether to eat at the restaurant or order at home through the application. Customers can have additional engagement by adding a store item or taking advantage of special offers like this week’s on Campfire Meals.

In recent weeks, Gasoline prices have risen to $4.50 per gallon, one of the highest levels since 2022. This has caused households, especially low-income ones, to reduce their discretionary spending, greatly affecting fast food chains and establishments.
