“The reckless decision to reduce our military presence in Europe, along with the moves by Pete Hegseth and his political henchmen to oust some of our best generals, is at best amateurism and at worst, a deadly action.”wrote.

From the perspective of Thom Tillis, the lack of respect that the Secretary of Defense is showing for high-level military personnel who should know how to take advantage of their vast experience instead of relegating them to replace them with others willing to obey without questioning him, knowing that several of his strategies are inadequate and even dangerous for the destiny of the country, is evident.
“Hegseth continues to surprise and disrespect our greatest allies and some of our best military professionals with impulsive decisions that are not based on reality or good judgment”, he stressed.
Given the dismissals of more than a dozen senior military officials during his administration, the senator from Jacksonville, Florida asked Pete Hegseth not to be carried away by those who only applaud him every time he proposes a new military strategy or an adjustment in the Pentagon.
“Keep your word, Mr. Secretary: choose meritocracy over its mediocre sycophants”, he pointed out.
