In the midst of the success obtained with the biographical film “Michael”, one of the most emblematic musical themes of the late ‘King of Pop’ has conquered digital platforms almost four decades after its release.

This is the song “Billie Jean”, which reached first place in Spotify’s global daily ranking on May 15.with a total of 6,028,000 views in a single day.

According to the music streaming platform, this Top 1 represents the highest position that the song has reached on Spotify since its creation. Besides, It was highlighted that the achievement comes four decades after the song debuted on the album “Thriller” that Michael Jackson released in January 1983.

The success of Jackson’s musical legacy was not only recorded by “Billie Jean.” And next to him, The song “Beat It” climbed to number 6 in the global ranking with more than 29 million weekly viewswhile “Don’t Cease ‘Til You Derive Ample” advanced 42 positions to reach number 16 in the same Top.

As if that were not enough, An increase in reproductions of songs such as “Human Nature”, “Comfy Criminal”, “Thriller”, “Dirty Diana” and “Rock With You” was reflectedthe latter produced by Quincy Jones and released as the second single from his album “Off the Wall” in 1979.
