The wait is over for fans of the comedy film “Grown Ups.” Netflix confirmed that it has joined forces with actor and producer Adam Sandler to bring a third installment of the famous saga to the screens of its users
According to the entertainment giant, “Grown Usa3” will be directed by Kyle Newacheck, who throughout his career has led the productions “Happy Gilmore 2”, “Community” and “Criminals at Sea”, to name a few.
And, in addition to his role as protagonist, Adam Sandler accompanies Tim Herlihy in the development and adaptation of the script. He will also produce the film alongside Jackie Sandler, Jack Giarraputo and Herlihy himself.
Although the announcement reported that the project is already in the early stages of development, It is still unknown if Chris Rock, David Spade, Kevin James and Rob Schneider will reprise the characters they first brought to life in 2010.
However, it is expected that the plot that made the public fall in love with its ingenuity will remain intact; This consisted of a group of childhood friends trying to reconnect while facing adulthood, marriage, children, and everyday chaos.
Adam Sandler and Netflix: a sum that bets on comedy
While this project is cooking, Netflix and Adam Sandler celebrate the success of their previous collaborations. Let us remember that in July 2025, the long-awaited film “Happy Gilmore 2” was released, almost 30 years after the famous success.

Their most recent collaboration took place in April 2026, with the premiere of “Roommates”. This tells the story of two first-year college students who become roommates and face the different obstacles of living in the same dorm.
