The Sheep Detectives
The most interesting theatrical release of the week is this mystery comedy for the whole family in which the main characters are a group of funny sheep. George (Hugh Jackman) is a shepherd who reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every night, convinced that they cannot understand a word. But when an incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep realize they know enough to become detectives and unravel the mystery for themselves. As they follow clues and investigate human suspects, these animals show us that they can be brilliant at solving crimes. In addition to Jackman, the cast includes familiar faces and voices such as Emma Thompson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O’Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart and Rhys Darby. From the director of “Minions” and “Despicable Me 3”, Kyle Balda.
