A Hispanic man and his one-year-old nephew died in a car accident caused by a driver who escaped early this Sunday in west Los Angeles.
Oswaldo Sandoval and his nephew, Roger, lost their lives, and a woman suffered injuriesin the hit-and-speed incident that occurred at 4:34 am in the 6800 block of Vista Del Mar, near the intersection with Culver Boulevard, in Playa del Rey, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) reported.
According to reports, a Hispanic family, three adult siblings and the one-year-old childhad just left a party on the beach when his BMW truck was hit by a white Jeep, whose driver did not wait at the scene.

Friends close to the family rushed to the scene of the accident, where they found that Oswaldo Sandoval had already died.
The other three occupants, Oswaldo’s brother, father of 14-month-old Roger, and his sister were rushed to a sanatorium, where the little boy later died from his injuries.
The woman remains hospitalized in critical condition in the intensive care area with considerable support, while the father was reported in stable condition, although with several rib fractures.

Mollney mentioned that The stretch of road where the accident occurred is dangerous due to vehicles traveling at high speed and did not rule out that the driver of the Jeep could have fallen asleep at the wheel due to the time at which the collision occurred.
“I want the driver to know that took the life of an innocent child who had so much to live for. He was only a year and a half old. Please surrender. We want justice,” said Elsa, another close friend of the family.

Roger’s relatives created a GoFundMe page to request help to pay for the funeral services of the 14-month-old child.
