President Donald Trump announced that he is analyzing a new proposal put forward by the Iranian government to end the war it has been fighting with the United States since February 28.

Through a post shared on the Truth Social platform, The seventy-nine-year-old Republican was not very optimistic about a plan developed by the Islamic Republic to reach an agreement with Washington aimed at achieving peace.

“I will soon review the information that Iran just sent us, but “I can’t imagine it being acceptable as they have not yet paid a high enough price for what they have done to humanity and the world over the past 47 years,” he wrote.

Later, before a group of journalists who approached him on the tarmac of the Palm Seaside International Airport, the New York tycoon He reiterated that the United States continues to have the advantage in the war and therefore is in a position to be the one who desires the conditions to mark the end of the war.

“They told me about the concept of the agreement. Now they will give me the exact wording. We are doing very well with respect to Iran. I repeat, they want to reach an agreement. “They are decimated,” he said.

Trump did not even rule out the possibility of resuming the US military offensive, to avoid giving his adversary the opportunity to reactivate itself militarily within a few years.

“If we left right now, it would take 20 years to rebuild, but we are not leaving now. We will do it in such a way that no one has to return in two or five years,” he stressed.

For some weeks now, the key to ending the war has been to guarantee the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, which the Iranian authorities have refused to do; while the United States has imposed another closure of navigation aimed at preventing the entry or exit of any ship destined for the oil ports of the Islamic Republic.

Although the government of Pakistan offered to act as a mediator, the negotiations to reach an agreement did not bear fruit and this strengthened a global energy crisis with very negative consequences for the economy.

Donald Trump claims to be in no hurry to establish an agreement, but having already used a large part of his weapons arsenal and the daily expenses involved in the movement of his best aircraft carriers and more than a dozen ships, as well as thousands of members of the militia, is leading him to seek a diplomatic solution to the war conflict.
