American citizens affected by immigration policies come together to organize a movement against mass detentions and deportations that harm their families and destabilize their communities.
Participants from California, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington, DC gathered in Philadelphia to create the “Connected Americans” movement.
Members of the movement, directly affected by immigration policies, pledged to share their stories with millions of people, as well as to stop detention and deportation policies that have impacted their families.
