Sam Asghari, ex-husband of singer Britney Spears, broke the silence about the artist’s recent voluntary admission to a rehabilitation center, showing a position of support and respect towards their decision.
Earlier this month, a representative for the 44-year-old performer, famous for hits like “Circus,” confirmed that Spears had decided to voluntarily enter a treatment center. This news comes after the singer was arrested more than a month ago for driving under the influence of alcohol near her residence in Ventura County, California.
What did Sam say?
When approached by TMZ photographers, Asghari, 32, known for his work as a wellness model and actor, reacted positively to the news. “
“I think it’s great, and I think anything that has to do with healing is wonderful. As long as the person is in charge, everything is fine.”
However, the actor also revealed that he has not had anyno communication with his ex-wife since she entered the center. “We have not spoken”he pointed out.
On the other hand, a source close to the singer claimed that Britney’s sons, Sean, 20, and Jayden, 19, were key to her making the decision to seek professional help. “They’ve been very clear with her. They just want her to be healthy,” the source shared with TMZ.
The same media stated that The program in which the pop star currently participates has an estimated duration of 30 daysalthough sources indicate that he could extend his stay if he considers it necessary.
It should be remembered that Kevin Federline, also Britney’s ex-husband, also addressed the situation and mentioned that he agrees with her being in this new stage.
