A Texas elementary school assistant principal died after being shot in the face inside her home in suburban Fort Value.in a fact that authorities classify as an alleged case of involuntary manslaughter.
The victim was identified as Lindsay Velasquez, 42, a mother of three and an educational officer at Luella Merrett Elementary School. Her husband, Alberto Velasquez, 39 years old and also a certified teacher, was arrested the same day of the incident.reported Fox 4.

The Benbrook Police Department, according to the outlet, reported that it responded to the family home after receiving a report about “someone who had been accidentally shot in the face.”
Upon arrival, officers found Lindsay unconscious with a gunshot wound. She was rushed to Harris Hospital Downtown, where she was pronounced dead.
After a preliminary investigation at the scene, authorities arrested Alberto Velasquez and charged him with involuntary manslaughter.
Tarrant County Jail records indicate that The defendant was released on Monday after posting $35,000 bail. So far, the date of his next court appearance has not been reported.
