And all this does not remain in theory, it is already beginning to be applied in brands such as Jeep, Peugeot and Ram.

Artificial intelligence involved in the entire process

The agreement includes more than 100 projects based on artificial intelligence. We’re not just talking about smarter assistants or screens, but about something much deeper. From vehicle design to manufacturing, including customer service and internal data management.

One of the most striking points is the use of AI to validate vehicles before they reach the market. Predictive maintenance systems are also integrated that seek to anticipate failures before they occur, something that can change the relationship between user and car.

In parallel, the driver experience also becomes more personalized. A user of PeugeotFor example, you could receive recommendations to improve your urban driving or real-time alerts about the status of the vehicle.

Microsoft enters the digital heart of Stellantis

From Microsoft, the focus is clear. Judson Althoffexecutive vice president of the commercial division, summed it up like this: “The integration of cloud platforms, artificial intelligence and security will allow us to offer tangible value to millions of users around the world.”

The alliance also relies on the cloud Microsoft Azurewhich will be key in Stellantis’ technological migration. The automotive group plans to reduce its dependence on physical data centers by 60 percent by 2029, betting on a more versatile and scalable infrastructure.

Cybersecurity as a centerpiece

With cars becoming more connected, digital security is no longer a secondary issue. Stellantis is going to create a global cyber defense center powered by artificial intelligence. This system will not only protect internal platforms, it will also cover connected vehicles, factories and digital services.

The idea is to have a structure capable of responding in real time to threats, something key in an environment where cars already function as connected devices.

The impact is not limited to vehicles. Within the company itself there will also be important changes. Stellantis will incorporate tools such as Copilot Chat and will deploy 20,000 Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses for different areas.

This seeks to streamline internal tasks, improve collaboration and automate processes that previously required more human time. Deep down, artificial intelligence is also beginning to redefine how people work within the company.
