In a recent interview, the star of “Ambulance” and “Fountain of Youth” confessed that before becoming the empowered, self-love-promoting woman she is today, He lived his own experiences marked by insecurities about his physique.
According to the actress’s testimony, her time as a teenager in the public eye caused her several injuries that affected her safety. In this sense, he regretted that being a public figure brings with it criticism and attacks of this type.
“It is important to normalize that we are all equal, that we are all going through situations and I think we live in a world where there is constant information being thrown in our faces and we are oversaturated with information. Especially for young girls, I think it is very complicated to see women on social networks who are perfect.“, he detailed in a clip taken up by the program ‘Venga la Alegría’.
And although today she is more sure than ever that her value lies in her essence and not in her appearance, she admitted that getting to this point requires constant work.
“It happens to me, I’m in my 30s, you know? For me, normalize my body and let other women know that I live it, that I have lived it, that it is something completely normalthat you don’t have to feel guilty, it’s important,” he added.
Eiza González and the challenges she has faced in Hollywood
Another of the topics he addressed during his interview was related to his jump to Hollywood, where he joined Mexican stars such as Salma Hayek, Diego Luna and Guillermo del Toro. Although today she has a track record that supports her, getting roles was not always an easy task.
“I do feel that there is a responsibility when you have the opportunity to be where I am, which is very few people, to make an effort to change a Latino stereotype. And yes, in fact, at the beginning I think that in my career they offered me things like… the girlfriend of… didn’t have lines or they asked me to be interesting all the time,” he lamented.
However, Eiza accepted the challenge of carving out a place in the industry with the same hunger for success: “I am always a person who likes challenges and likes to push myself. I don’t necessarily say that I am the best at doing it, but I try. I’m not afraid of not hitting it or not doing it well. What scares me the most is not trying“, he stated.
