Inter Miami announced on its official website that Javier Mascherano’s process has come to an end. The Argentine strategist leaves the “Las Garzas” bench for personal reasons. Mascherano directed 67 games on the club’s bench.
“I want to inform everyone that, for personal reasons, I have decided to end my time as coach of Inter Miami CF“, begins the statement posted on the club’s official website.
Without giving more details about the “personal reasons” that motivated his departure from the bench, Javier Mascherano thanked the players and fans who have supported him since January 2025. Mascherano cut off a process that was scheduled until December 2027.
“First of all, I want thank the institution for the trust they placed in me, to each of the employees who are part of the club for the collective effort, but especially to the players, who were the ones who allowed us to live unforgettable moments (…) I also want to thank the fan and the entire Inter Miami Family Because without them none of this would have been possible.“added the Argentine strategist.
In 67 games coached on the Inter Miami bench, Javier Mascherano left a balance of 38 wins, 15 draws and 14 losses. The former FC Barcelona player leaves the “Las Garzas” team after achieving only one victory in his last 6 games.
