Authorities in Livonia, a city located about 20 miles from Detroit, Michigan, are investigating a domestic shooting that left four people dead inside a family home Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 5:35 pm, when the police received an alert about shots fired at a residence where several members of the same family lived, according to ABC Data.

The suspect surrendered after leaving the home.

According to the local police, when the agents arrived at the scene, The alleged perpetrator – a 25-year-old man – left the house with his hands up. and claimed that he had shot his relatives.

The suspect was detained at the scene with no additional incidents or threats to the community reported.

Authorities identified the victims as the defendant’s parents, Sterling Pierce, 58, and Holly Kimball, of Fifty Three, who were found dead in the backyard of the home.

The suspect’s brother, Tanner Pierce, 22, and his partner, Nevaeh Finch, 21, were found inside a room, both with fatal gunshot wounds.

Livonia Police Chief Thomas Goralski indicated that they all lived in the same house, while the young victim often stayed at the home.

Ongoing investigation

The authorities indicated that, although There were indications of a conflictive relationship between the suspect and his parentsa clear motive for the attack has not yet been established.

The police chief stated that the department had no previous records of incidents related to the accused.

The investigation continues while the detainee remains in custody and faces possible charges of multiple homicide.
