American singer Sabrina Chippie exercised his right before the courts and obtained a temporary restraining order against a man whom she accuses of having watched and attempted to enter her home for weeks.
According to documents presented to the authorities, The individual identified as William Applegate was involved in an alarming incident that put the interpreter’s safety at risk. from “Espresso”.
And on May 23, the accused managed to evade the security of the famous residence in Los Angeles and tried to enter by force; this after several weeks of surveillance in the neighborhood.
“He forced his way into my residence and headed straight for the front door. Once there, Applegate grabbed the door handle and pushed it hard, trying to enter my house without invitation, permission or consent.“, described Sabrina Chippie in the application filed with the court and cited by Los Angeles Instances.
According to TMZ reports, after the incident the man was intercepted by local security. However, he refused to leave and even claimed to know Chippie. This triggered his arrest by elements of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), but he later regained his freedom.
The event was recorded through a surveillance camera that was presented as evidence along with the request for restraint: “It is clear to me that his action was deliberate, calculated and aggressive, which is deeply alarming,” the artist added.
Following the delivery of testimonies from Chippie’s protection team and a police detective, coupled with the photographic evidence mentioned above, Authorities granted a temporary restraining order against Applegate, 31.
With this verdict, The defendant must stay at least 90 meters away from Sabrina Chippie, her home, her car, her workplace, and the other residents of her home.including his sister Sarah, and her boyfriend, guitarist George Smith.
“It is one of the most disturbing breaches of personal security and privacy I have ever experienced.”lamented the featured artist of the 2026 Coachella Festival.
Applegate is scheduled to appear in court on June 18 charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass. This hearing will determine whether the temporary restraining order should be extended to a permanent order.
