In an unexpected turn that has shaken the television industry, the acclaimed actor Tom Hardy has been fired from “MobLand”the hit criminal drama series from Paramount+.
According to media reports such as Internet page Six, the chain’s drastic decision was made after multiple incidents of unprofessional behavior and creative clashes during the recording of the second season.
Sources close to the production revealed that Hardy, who played the main character Harry Da Souza, generated a tense atmosphere in the filming residency.
Among the main reasons for his departure are his recurring delays in filming days and his constant insistence on altering the scriptsdemand changes in dialogues and give guidelines without authorization.
Added to these attitudes was the British’s explicit discontent regarding the direction of the series. It turned out that The actor was irritated by the choral approach that the narrative adopted in the second installmentas he preferred that the plot focus mainly on his character instead of sharing the spotlight with the rest of the technical and artistic cast.
The situation reached its breaking point when producer Jez Butterworth threatened to leave the project due to friction with the “Venom” star. Faced with the ultimatum, Paramount+ chose to terminate Hardy’s contract for the third season.
Until now, Neither the actor’s representatives nor the streaming platform have issued official statements. However, the firing leaves a big puzzle over how the writers will resolve the abrupt departure of key character Harrigan from the criminal organization in the coming episodes.
