With the aim of commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States, the White House integrated several major events into its agenda and one of them could break a Guinness record.
The 4th of July celebrations this year will be different, as President Donald Trump wants to go down in history for the extravagance of festivities and color that he will impose on the commemoration of independence. of the most powerful nation in America.
Under this premise, the goal was set to organize the greatest fireworks show of all time.
According to reports released by the site Axios, Freedom 250, the White House commission in charge of planning this and other events, turned to the services of Pyrotecnicoa company recognized worldwide for the colorful shows it usually puts on based on fireworks.
The task consists of pyrotechnics experts detonating 860,754 fireworks during a 40-minute show that would establish a Guinness record.
If the agreement is complied with, the amount of gunpowder burned would be greater than that used to stage the 2016 New Year’s show in the Philippines, where for 60 minutes the night sky was illuminated thanks to 810,904 fireworks used.
According to the newspaper The Hill, Pyrotecnico will require the support of fifty or more trucks to transport the field fabric necessary to put on its show on July 4. In addition, it will rely on at least 60 people from its operational team.
The plan is for the fireworks to be launched from the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, West Potomac Park and eight barges.
Aside from this show, a day before, the filament that covers the sculpture called the Sanctuary of Democracy, carved on Mount Rushmore located in Keystone, South Dakota, will also be filled with color thanks to another fireworks display linked to the celebrations of American independence, something rarely seen.
