The proposal does not seek to compete solely on technology or electrification. The goal is much more ambitious. Denza wants to enter a category where names like Ferrari, Porsche or Mercedes-AMG have built their reputations over decades.

Plenty of power to challenge anyone

The specifications announced by the brand are difficult to ignore. The propulsion system combines three electric motors that develop a total power of 1,582 horsepower.

The configuration includes a front engine with 670 horses and two motors located on the rear axle that provide another 912 horses. Thanks to this set, the model It promises to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just two seconds.

That figure places it among the fastest production vehicles on the market and allows it to surpass several benchmark European sports cars. It is even above some of the most extreme variants currently marketed by Mercedes-AMG.

Technology focused on handling

The brand ensures that performance is not limited to acceleration. To manage such power, the Denza Z incorporates the intelligent DiSus-M suspension, developed by BYD.

This system uses magnetorheological dampers capable of modifying its behavior in a matter of milliseconds. The result is a configuration that can prioritize comfort on the road or tighten up when the driver demands maximum performance.

The intention is to offer a balanced experience, something especially important in vehicles that far exceed the 1,500 horsepower.

Design with European influence

On a visual level, the sports car adopts proportions typical of large supercars. It has a low body, a wide silhouette and a very aggressive image that seeks to transmit speed even when stopped.

The design was supervised by Wolfgang Egger, creative head of BYD and Denza, known for his time at Audi. The vehicle features large air inlets, sharp optics and a rear lighting signature with diamond-inspired geometric details.

In addition, the brand will offer three different configurations. There will be a convertible variant, a hardtop version and a track-oriented edition that will include specific aerodynamic elements and a large rear spoiler.

Inside doors, The Denza Z is committed to a clearly sporty atmosphere. The one-piece seats made of carbon fiber seek to reinforce that feeling, while the finishes combine leather and microfiber.

The cabin incorporates three digital screens and a reinforced structure to increase safety. One of the most striking elements is its removable steering wheel, an unusual solution in production vehicles that seeks to facilitate access to the interior.

The next step of international expansion

The launch of the Denza Z is also part of the brand’s international strategy. Although Denza was born as a collaboration between BYD and Mercedes-Benz, it currently operates under the Chinese manufacturer’s encourage a watch on total.

Its expansion into Europe will begin with top-rate models such as the D9 and Z9 GT, both equipped with the most recent technologies developed by BYD.

Among them, the new Blade Battery 2.0 stands out, relevant with ultra-fast charging systems capable of recovering from 10% to 97% of the battery in just nine minutes under ideal conditions.

For now, the main rival of the Denza Z seems to be another Chinese exponent, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra. However, with its announced 1,582 horsepower, the new Denza sports car wants to make it clear that China no longer only competes by sales volume. It also aims to lead the race for the most extreme performance.
