What a celebration there was at the BMO Discipline stadium in Toronto with the second opening ceremony of the 2026 World Cup. Between music, applause and the expectation of the public, the repeat was carried out that served as a prelude to the first match of Group B between the local host team and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The musical number was adorned with the presence of the singers Jessie Reyez and Elyanna to perform their duet song “Illuminate”which is part of the official album of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Both celebrities looked stunning in outfits that honored the colors of the Canadian flag: white and red. Between the applause of the public and the appreciation of Internet users on social networks, they were crowned as one of the repeat favorites.
Likewise, the participation of the singer Nora Fatehi, the French Vegedream, and the Bangladeshi-American DJ/producer Sanjoy stood out. This trio of artists came out on stage to present the song “Siir Siir”.
One of the most notable absences during the opening repeat was that of Michael Bublé, who had been announced by FIFA as part of the event along with other Canadian icons. For her part, Alanis Morissette has the task of performing the national anthem before the official whistle.
The 2026 World Cup awaits a third opening ceremony in the United States

One of the most anticipated participations in the repeat was that of the singer Shakira, who showed off her best dance steps to the rhythm of the official World Cup 2026 theme, “Dai Dai.”. Accompanying her was Nigerian singer and producer Burna Boy.
